Car Clubs

ACORNS – Association of CORvair NutS – promotes “the restoration, preservation, maintenance and enjoyment of all types of Corvair Vehicles” and promotes “activities and events for the enjoyment of Corvairs by enthusiasts of the vehicle and to give the general public opportunity to become better acquainted with this unique motor vehicle.”

BMW Car Club of America Genesee Valley Chapter – “is a not-for-profit, volunteer organization founded in 1981, that serves BMW car enthusiasts throughout western New York State, including Syracuse, Rochester, Buffalo, Binghamton, and Corning. The GVC BMW car club hosts a variety of educational, social, driving skill, and charity events throughout the year, and provides a venue for members to share information, stories, and memories related to BMW automobiles.”

British Car Club of Western New York Meetup – “The British Car Club is a true Multi-Marque Club. Among the present members are owners of Austin-Healeys, Jensens, MGs, Jaguars, Sunbeams, Triumphs and Rovers. Our membership of over 200 represents nearly two dozen different marques ranging from AC to TVR, from 1947 to 1994, and includes a British motorcycle and a “lorry.

This Meetup is designed to help further communication between members wishing to meet for technical reasons, drives, cruises, shows, picnics, discussions or any other purpose.”

Finger Lakes Region Volkswagen Club – “We are headquartered in Rochester, New York and are an official, regional chapter of the Vintage Volkswagen Club of America. Most of our members have one or more air-cooled VWs; some have water-cooled and some have none.  Ownership of a VW is not required!”

Greater Rochester Triumph Touring Club  – “Established and incorporated in 2008, the Greater Rochester Triumph Touring Club now has a membership of nearly sixty Triumph owners.  We are a chapter of the national Vintage Triumph Register (VTR). Emphasis is placed on enjoyment and proper maintenance of our Triumphs.”

“To accomplish our goal, we hold numerous driving events, usually ending with a brunch or dinner.  We hold one road rally each year that is open to all British cars. Tech sessions have included the rebuilding of engines and transmissions, as well as general maintenance.  We have at least one weekend getaway and host a special Holiday Party each year.”

Kanandaique / Canandaigua Corvette Club – “Membership is limited to persons who are 18 years or older. Standard membership in the club is limited to owners of Corvettes and their spouses or significant other.”

Lakeshore Model A Ford Club – Rochester NY – “The Lakeshore Model A Ford Club is a Charter Region of the Model “A” Restorers Club (MARC) and a chapter of the Model A Ford Club of America (MAFCA), founded May 4th 1974. OUR MISSION: Serve as a medium for exchanging ideas and information for admirers of the Model A Ford.”

MG Car Club of Western New York – “Owning an MG is NOT a prerequisite for membership. If you do own a MG or other sports car, you will find some of the most knowledgeable people around willing to help with any problems you may encounter. Our members are involved in all aspects of motor sports, such as racing, restoration, touring, rallying, etc. If you do not own an MG or other sports car, you will find that membership puts you in touch with people willing to help you in the purchase of a sports car. We are a family oriented club and would be delighted to welcome you as a New Member.”

MidState Miata Club of New York – “The MidState Miata Club of New York is an organization dedicated to the enjoyment of the Mazda Miata roadster.  Our primary objectives are to provide an opportunity for Mazda Miata owners and enthusiasts to exchange ideas and information, as well as to participate in group events involving the Miata.”

“The Club schedules at least one “official” event each month from April through November.  These local events are selected from ideas and suggestions presented by the membership during the annual planning meeting that occurs each winter.  We schedule events to interesting points in New York State as well as occasionally organize overnight trips to more distant locations. The Club also schedules informal evening gatherings for ice cream every two weeks during the warmer months.  There are also frequent impromptu get-togethers among members, if for no other reason than to have someone to share the road with.”

Porsche Club of  America – Finger Lakes Region – “Happiness is defined as the congruence of well-being and satisfaction. Driving through the Finger Lakes Region of New York State can be the epitome of happiness, especially if you happen to be driving a Porsche! Here we’ll introduce you to the members of the Finger Lakes Region Porsche Club of America and the cars they drive. Regional events and meetings are just part of the experience. We’ll also help you maintain your new or old Porsche with lots of great information. And, of course, we’ll all share our Porsche driving experiences throughout one of the most beautiful regions on earth.”

Roc City Mini – “Roc City MINI (RCM) is a Rochester based club meant for MINI enthusiasts to gather together, enjoy each others company and have a blast!”

The Club is Family oriented and active year round with events such as Cancer Awareness Weekend, Wine Tour, Mustang Mondays Cruise Nights, Date Nights and much more. “

Rochester Corvette Club – “The Rochester Corvette Club has been continuously active since it was founded in 1959. We are among the oldest Corvette Clubs in the United States. A social club with over 550 members, we offer something for everyone.”

Rochester Mopars & Friends /  Facebook – “ROCHESTER MOPARS Club is based out of Rochester, NY.  We are Rochester’s Premier MOPAR Enthusiast Club. You do not need to own a MOPAR, just LOVE MOPARS!  If you are interested in hearing more of what we have to offer, please join us at one of our monthly meetings.”

Rochester Sports Car Meetup – Brings together people who enjoy driving and high performance cars of any kind. The group’s goal is to offer a variety of activities that include fun trips on scenic roads to interesting destinations or activities.

Sport Car Club of America – Central NY Region – “Since 1951 the CNY Region of SCCA has served a large part of Northern New York State including the greater Syracuse, Utica, and Watertown areas.”

Sports Car Club of America – Finger Lakes Region – “The Finger Lakes Region of the SCCA comprises the area around Rochester, New York. We are dedicated to providing a safe and fun venue for participatory motorsports in Upstate New York.”

Street Machines of Rochester  / Facebook – “The Street Machines of Rochester car club is a very socially active club. We are located in the town of Greece, New York which is near the outskirts of Rochester. Our history started in 1974 with a few founding members, some of whom are still active in the club today. Our current membership is over 130.”

“Our premier event for the year is our Annual Outdoor Auto Show. It’s held the 2nd weekend of June each year. Our elected board members spend nearly 12 months planning and organizing to make this event successful. Proceeds are donated to groups and services in our community such as the Greece Volunteer Ambulance, Greece Parks and Recreation, and others. With hundreds of vehicles on display, thousands of spectators, and numerous vendors, you don’t want to miss it.”

Upstate NY Car Club – “The Upstate New York Car Club is based in Ithaca, NY, and open to all car enthusiasts in the Upstate New York region. We attend events throughout Upstate NY (i.e. Syracuse, Rochester, Binghamton, etc.) and the surrounding states. Many of our members reside in Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Auburn, Geneva, Horseheads/Elmira, and even places closer to NYC than to Ithaca. You don’t actually need to own a car to be a member.”

Volkswagen Association of Western NY – “VWAWNY, founded in 1987, is dedicated to the preservation and enjoyment of ALL Volkswagens regardless of cooling preference. We meet on the 3rd Wednesday of every month at the Ship n Shore restaurant 5612 Tonawanda Creek Road Lockport, NY 14094 at 7:00PM unless otherwise posted in the monthly information email or on the VWAWNY Facebook page, and organize events including, Charity fundraising, Cruises, Picnics, Tech sessions and we just have fun!”

Wayne Drumlins Region AACA – “The Wayne Drumlins Antique Automobile Region, a region of the Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA), was founded in 1974 with 12 Charter members. Today the club has more than 85 members.  Meetings are held the 3rd Wednesday of each month at the Community Center in Phelps, New York. A newsletter, the Headliner, is distributed to members on a monthly basis via the post office or e-mail.  Wayne Drumlins sponsors one of the oldest and best annual regional car shows on the 3rd Sunday in August. Club activities include day excursions, ice cream socials, nursing home visits and participation in local summer fairs, festivals and car shows.”

Western New York Cadillac – LaSalle Club – “We are a club composed of owners and admirers of Cadillac and LaSalle automobiles of all eras.  We are one of many local groups chartered by and under the aegis of the National Cadillac and LaSalle Club Inc.”

“Our Western New York chapter has been chartered since 1986.  We presently (August 2018) have 56 members, in areas from Buffalo to Rochester, and into the Southern Tier to Corning New York.  We also have a slate of club events including a car show in Amherst NY in July, and another show in Rochester NY in August.  We host a post-Holiday dinner at one of our better local restaurants in early January, a Spring Brunch, and an ice cream social in the summertime.”

Western NY Regional Group of the Early Ford V-8 Club of America – “Welcome to the Western NY Regional Group of the Early Ford V-8 Club of America. We are located in Upstate NY, centered in Rochester, NY. We feature all Ford products produced from 1932 to 1953.”
